Zoho One vs Microsoft 365: Do You Actually Have to Choose?
These get compared as if they were rival products, and they are not really in the same category. Microsoft 365 is a productivity suite — mail, Office, Teams, storage. Zoho One is a business operating system that includes those things and then keeps going into CRM, accounting, HR and support. The overlap is roughly a third of each, and the interesting question for a business in Egypt or the Gulf is not which one wins but which two thirds you are missing today.

Which one should you pick?
For a large number of businesses the honest answer is both: keep Microsoft 365 for mail and Office, where the familiarity is worth more than the licence saving, and add Zoho One for the two thirds Microsoft does not cover — CRM, accounting, HR, support. That combination usually still costs less than assembling those functions from separate vendors, and it avoids the one change most likely to go badly, which is moving everyone's email. Choose Zoho One alone if you are starting fresh or your Microsoft footprint is thin. Do not migrate a working Office estate to save on licences; the retraining will cost more than the subscription did.

Does Microsoft 365 include a CRM?
No. Microsoft's CRM and ERP products sit in Dynamics 365, which is bought separately from Microsoft 365 Business. Businesses that assume the suite covers sales and accounting usually discover this at the point they need it.
Should we drop Microsoft 365 if we buy Zoho One?
Usually not, and certainly not immediately. Excel and Outlook are where the habits live, and a mail migration is the riskiest part of any suite change. Start with the functions you do not have at all — CRM, accounting, support — and revisit email only if the duplicated third turns out to be expensive at your seat count.
Can the two run side by side?
Yes, and it is the common arrangement. Zoho apps integrate with Microsoft mail and calendar, so the practical setup is Microsoft for productivity and Zoho for the business systems, with the two connected rather than merged.
Which one handles Egyptian e-invoicing?
Neither submits to the ETA by itself, but only one of them has an accounting ledger to submit from. With Zoho Books that path exists as a product; with Microsoft 365 alone there is nothing to submit, so the invoice has to originate somewhere else.
